Quiet And Cold

“True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment.” ~ William Penn

Walking in the silence in a very coooold Blue Ridge Thursday evening where only a handful of tourists were gathered in Chester’s, Black Sheep and the downtown wine bars. I’ve found over the years it’s rare to find a local out and about in downtown after 6:00 p.m. And, the train was parked and sleeping.

Home is very good on a freezing Friday evening ~ thankful 🐾🐾⛰⛰

What’s a healthy dish without a little evil added to it ~ at least baked, not fried

Back Door Guests Are Best

Not much sweeter than seeing this angel the minute I go to the back door at sunrise this morning

ANGEL

“How it is that animals understand things I do not know, but it is certain that they do understand. Perhaps there is a language which is not made of words and everything in the world understands it. Perhaps there is a soul hidden in everything and it can always speak, without even making a sound, to another soul.” ― Frances Hodgson Burnett

“Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what’s missing in our lives, and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are, and to the purpose of why we’re here.” ― Trisha McCagh

First visitor of the day

Winter, Winter …..

Some snow still falling ~ loving this crisp cold air ❄️❄️❄️

“Snow falling soundlessly in the middle of the night will always fill my heart with sweet clarity.”
