MOUNTAIN VALLEY FARM STORE – Part II

“Look for chances to take the less-traveled roads. There are no wrong turns.” — Susan Magsamen

Out and about heading to the Farm in my favorite mountain weather
Over the river and through the woods
Challenging traffic
Although a specific destination on this outing, savoring the beauty and quietness of every curve and hill is always a goal
I have yet to find a negative in these little journeys in our area
Their old red truck has always been a favorite

I was recently telling a friend about Mountain Valley Store and described it as a feeling of walking into an OR ~ sterile….it’s looked this way on all my visits.

THE STORE

Backroading = treasures one might never expect
Local, the best
Three vineyards and wineries within 1-5 miles of the Farm. Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard and Winery, Cartecay Vineyards and Ellijay River Vineyards
Secured goods
Would love a sink like this
Butter-real
Ice-cream is an option here

LAST STOP OUTSIDE THE STORE

Another Farm friend
Beautiful animals on the property
Just hanging around on a great winter day
I see you
Headed home just past the Farm
“Many country roads I’ve traveled
A lifetime of them to be exact
No better place on earth to be
And my friend, that’s just a fact

The earthy fresh and sweet
World of the country roads
Mean everything to me
They help to lighten my load

The swirling, twirling clouds above
Set off the country scene
If you drove those country roads
You would know just what I mean

There’s hope and fresh acceptance
When the country roads you ride
A place for families to grow as well
Where men long to take a bride

So rest assured, my friend
If you’ve some worries to unload
Just live the best life possible
And travel those country roads!”

  1. Cutest goats I’ve ever seen. While the winding foggy roads could be straight a horror movie, they are beautiful, peaceful and inviting. Love the country store. I have not figured out how to leave a comment without making a website of my own. 🤷‍♀️

  2. I love your photos Carol and I am pleased that you chose this medium to display them. Your theme is one of Curts. We often find ourselves in unfamiliar territory, and new experiences. He has been my Pioneer husband. Never a dull moment alongside this guy. I pray you had a soul filling day.
